Legal Disclosures & Policy Framework

2.1 Agreement Formation

All engagements between BuildPixelWorks (registered at 743 86 Jumkils-Broby 72, Bälinge, Sweden) and the Client are governed by an explicitly executed Statement of Work (SOW) or written project proposal accepted by both parties. No oral representation constitutes a binding commitment.

2.2 Scope of Services

BuildPixelWorks provides custom web application development, API pipeline engineering, database architecture, CI/CD automation, security hardening, performance optimization, and legacy system migration services as specified in the applicable SOW.

2.3 Payment Terms

Unless otherwise specified in the SOW, invoices are issued upon project milestone completion and are payable within 14 calendar days. Late payments incur a statutory interest rate of 8% per annum in accordance with Swedish Räntelagen (1975:635). All prices are quoted in USD unless explicitly stated otherwise.

2.4 Intellectual Property

Upon complete settlement of all agreed commercial invoices, BuildPixelWorks irrevocably assigns all worldwide intellectual property rights in the client-specific software deliverables, design tokens, source code repositories, and digital assets directly to the Client. BuildPixelWorks retains the right to reference the engagement in anonymized portfolio materials.

2.5 Limitation of Liability

BuildPixelWorks' aggregate liability under any single engagement shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by the Client under the applicable SOW. In no event shall BuildPixelWorks be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

2.6 Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information disclosed during the course of the engagement. This obligation survives termination for a period of 3 years.

2.7 Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Client is responsible for payment of all work completed up to the date of termination. BuildPixelWorks will deliver all completed deliverables upon receipt of outstanding payment.

2.8 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be finally settled by the courts of Uppsala, Sweden.

• / Analytics Cookies: We do not currently deploy third-party analytics cookies. If introduced in the future, explicit consent will be requested prior to activation.

3.3 localStorage Usage

Our cookie consent mechanism stores a single boolean value (bpw_cookie_accepted) in your browser's localStorage to persist your consent preference. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external server.

BuildPixelWorks reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via notice on this page. Continued use of the platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

4.1 General Refund Terms

BuildPixelWorks operates on a milestone-based payment structure. Refund eligibility is assessed relative to completed work交付ables at the point of cancellation or dispute. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

4.2 Pre-Engagement Deposits

Deposits paid to reserve project capacity or initiate scope analysis are non-refundable once the discovery phase has commenced. The discovery phase is deemed to have commenced upon delivery of the initial technical blueprint document.

4.3 Milestone-Based Refunds

If a Client cancels an engagement after one or more milestones have been completed and invoiced, the Client is entitled to a refund of fees paid for milestones not yet delivered, provided: (a) written cancellation is received within 14 days of the most recent milestone invoice; and (b) all completed deliverables have been accepted by the Client.

4.4 Non-Deliverable Refunds

In the event that BuildPixelWorks fails to deliver a contracted milestone within 30 calendar days beyond the agreed delivery date without prior written notice of delay, the Client may request a full refund of fees paid specifically for that milestone.

4.5 SLA Retainer Refunds

Monthly SLA maintenance retainer fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable for partial months. Clients may terminate the retainer with 30 days' written notice effective at the end of the current billing cycle.

4.6 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days via the original payment method. BuildPixelWorks will provide written confirmation of refund processing including the refund amount, date, and transaction reference.

4.7 Dispute Resolution

Refund disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication may be escalated to mediation through the Uppsala Chamber of Commerce. Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution before initiating formal proceedings.
